Financial Management

From Reinventing Government for the Clinton Administration to the President’s Management Agenda in Bush 43, DEFCON® has been there. We’ve been intimately involved in implementation of the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990 and the Government Management Reform Act of 1994.  We have also worked with the Financial Manager’s Financial Integrity Act and the Prompt Payment Act.

Our CEO served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation from 1991 to 1993.  He managed 260 people, a budget of $100 million, annual revenues of $1 billion and directed investable assets of $6 billion.  The Council on Excellence in Government called his position “one of the toughest financial management jobs in Washington.”  According to The Washington Times, he is “credited with turning the once-troubled agency around.”

In short, the people at DEFCON® have “hands on” experience producing documented results.  We do more than talk about results, we produce them!
